How to train Spara on your company's knowledge base.

Spara AI agents are trained on your company's knowledge base. These are facts about your product & value prop, not "how Spara should behave." There are three types of information sources:

Webpages

Spara AI is trained on your publicly available marketing website. This can include multiple subdomains, for example including your product documentation site. This is where Spara AI learns the bulk of information about your company.

You can see which webpages are included in your training data set on the Webpages tab of your Library page.

Documents

Spara supports syncing the following document types:

  • Google Docs

  • Microsoft Word (.docx)

  • PDFs

  • Rich text and Markdown formats

Documents may be uploaded manually in the Documents tab or synced from an integration:

Why doesn't Spara support spreadsheet or slide formats?

Some file formats generally result in poor performance when ingested by large language models. While partially due to the file structure, this is mostly because of how these files tend to be built: with an eye towards human:

  • Slides (ex. Powerpoint, Google Slides) are often mostly visual. Any text ingested by the LLM will be missing the necessary context of slide structure or visual elements.

  • Spreadsheets (ex. Excel, Google Sheets) are mostly numerical information without sufficient language context to be useful to a large language model.

Key Questions

Key Questions represents the most important information for Spara to answer accurately. These questions can be about anything: value prop, important product features, your sales process, etc.

Each Key Question has a Current Response and an Ideal Response. The Ideal Response is inputted by you - it represents the best possible answer Spara could give to this question. Each time you edit an Ideal Response, you will see Spara recalculate it's Current Response to more closely match your Ideal Response!

Don't expect Spara to copy Current Responses word-for-word - AI is designed to incorporate all the important information into its responses without being a parrot.

Key Questions are the most important questions your leads will ask Spara.
